"The Unsung Heroes"

Ladies and Gentlemen, the true heroes in this conflict, are not the soldiers who go to war.
The true heroes are the ones we leave behind.
It's not that hard to walk away, knowing you're going to a  War-zone. Trust me I know. That's not the hard part.
The ones who should be praised for their strength and courage are the ones who watch us leave and have to bare the burden of sorrow, and unknowing of what could happen to us over here.

This Blog is a praise to the ones we leave behind. The ones who deal with everyday problems on top of, their loved one being in harms way. They support us and give us strength to move on.
This country gives all the praise to the warrior who fights the battles on the battlefield.

But what of the ones who fight the battle at home.
All the families we leave behind to fight the battle of Love, for us, their husbands, fathers, brothers, and sons.
These women and children that we leave behind, are the true unsung heroes of the war.

The tears they shed on our behalf, and the burdens they bare, because we've chosen to go and fight, will not go unrecognized. Not while I'm around.
A wise man once said:
"Blessed is the man who hath the love of his family with him, for he shall never fight any battle alone."
This is a praise to the family that loves me,
and every other family out there having to fight the battle of Love.
Thank you for supporting us.

Special thanks to: Kristi Keim, Jordan Keim, Mallissa Johnson,
and all the other families who have loved ones fighting overseas.
Thank You!!

Fear no evil thing.

 Psalm 23
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for His names sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presents of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."

Isaiah 41:10
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Matthew 10:28
"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both body and soul in hell."
Understand that there is nothing to fear in this world but rather He who created it. The Lord my God tells me not to fear, so I won't, how 'bout you?

"The lack of understanding"

Ladies and Gentleman, friends and family, brothers and sisters in Christ,
we seem to have forgotten a few things.
So let me clear some things up. Life sucks! It's a fact.  Trust me I know.
We need to get over ourselves and deal with it. Stop having pity-parties and start doing what god wants us to do. We have no write to complain. We seem to forget that that all things work together for good for them that love God. There is nothing to worry about. As a child of God I know no matter what happens God is in control. Grant it I might not like what happens, but that's when I have to remind myself, We were made for His Glory not the other way around. This is His ballpark and we need t remember that. We don't even have a rite to live, let alone ask him for things. So what makes us think we can gripe and complain about every little thing that goes wrong.
I think we should spend more time thanking God for everything He gives us from day to day.
As the song goes: "Ain't God good, to give us SO many blessings, UNDESERVING is what we are. We otta thank Him love and praise Him..."
I can't say it any clearer then that.

Thoughts of a soldier.

That "old fashioned man" feeling

Sometimes I fell like I should have been born in the 20's.
I just have that attitude that get's me in trouble with the world we live in now. But guess what, I don't give a rats bottom about what the world thinks. If it's the right thing to do then I'll do it, if it's the gentleman thing to do I'll do it. For example, opening the door for a lady (the classic), carrying stuff for them, doing things for them that a lady shouldn't have to do. Now don't get me wrong ladies, I'm not saying you can't I'm saying you shouldn't have to. I believe in femininity of a lady, in the fact that women are the better/more delicate of the two, and that they are something to be cherished and respected.
Let me put it this way, would you take a Porsche to the fields to plow them, No. You'd use your tractor, Why? because that's what it's built for. We as men, husbands, and fathers (the ones built for plowing) better be out there plowing, laboring hard for our ladies, to provide for their every need.
Now I'm not saying be a little wimp, and be her slave. But you'd better be slaving to provide for her. Yes there is a difference.
